Things are starting to get a more relaxed feel now with some of the beaches and trails in the foothills opening and shelter in place order lifted, here in Southern California. That doesn't mean we can start acting like nothing happened and this pandemic is somehow mysteriously gone. Outdoor activities like sunbathing and small boat fishing are fine, but at the time of writing (June 3), San Diego County still has a ban on team sports such as football and volleyball. In addition to that, beach parking lots and piers remain closed.
This, however, doesn't mean you can't drive to California for a summer getaway and there are plenty of activities available, even with all the restrictions. Just make sure you check the official websites of the attractions you're planning to visit to make sure they are open and to know if any limitations apply.
At the time of writing the beaches are open for some activities and also some of the parks. We, at Cardiff Vacations, are also open for business and can't wait to see our guests cross our doorstep once again for a memorable vacation here in Cardiff by-the-Sea. Our utmost priority is our guests' safety and wellbeing during and following their vacation at our properties so that they can escape quarantine and unwind to try and get a sense of normalcy.

All three of our properties are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, following CDC guidelines and recommendations.

Officials recommend that we pack our own essentials for a day trip to the beach, including some food and drinks, to minimize any exposure to the virus. We want to assist you and contribute in your efforts to minimize exposure - your own and that of those around you, so we have ordered complimentary face masks for all our guests for the remainder of this year.
These masks are washable and they come in kids' sizes as well so that your whole family can enjoy a safe vacation and forget some of the stresses this pandemic has caused us all.
